Ratings Change Request Form

Any player may request that his/her rating be reviewed by following these steps:

  1. I meet the Criteria for Ratings Change, that is I have either: 
    • Played in at least 1 tournament in each of 2 consecutive years at my current rating and placed in the lower 50% of the field, or;
    • Feel that my circumstances have changed such that I can no longer compete in my current division.
  1. I have spoken with my League Operator and he/she agrees that I do meet the criteria and he/she supports my request for a ratings change.
  1. I have asked that my League Operator complete the Ratings Change Request Form and submit it to the Competition Committee for consideration along with any information that supports my request.

You and your League Operator will be notified when a decision has been reached.

Note: Though generally a player must have played in two separate events in not less than a two-year period without placing in the top fifty percent of the field, ratings downgrade requests are examined on a case-by-case basis and exceptions to this policy may be made. Committee members are not included in the ratings discussions or decisions if they or their family members are applying for a downgrade.
