PLAYERS

Player Ratings will be updated following every regional tournament and periodically as needed based on fluctuations in FargoRate numbers.

Established players will be rated according to their FargoRate number and placed in their proper division according to the table below.
New or first time players who don't have a FargoRate number or too few games for a reliable number to be assigned will be evaluated individually based on league stats and any tournament information that has been input into the Fargo system.  We are working to get numbers and division assignments for all our league players but it is a big project. Soon all our players will be posted with their corresponding FargoRate number on the Western BCA website.

For the October, 2017 9-Ball Championships, if you have a FargoRate number, go to http://www.playcsipool.com/fargo-ratings.html and click on the FargoRate
app button, look yourself up and you can see what division you will be playing in based on the table below at the 9-Ball Championships in October.  If you don't have a FargoRate number yet, you will soon.

Men:  000-519 = Open B               Women:  000-419 = Open B
520-599 = Open A                              420-484 = Open A
600-669 = Master                               485-549 = Master
670 & up = GrandMaster                    550 & up = GrandMaster

Your FargoRate number may change if you go the Nationals in Las Vegas and perform well above or below your established number.

Please note that the divisions are the same for the 9-Ball Championships. The Advanced Division will be implemented in the future as numbers warrant it.

Restricted Team Players are those players who, in team events at a regional tournament, finished high enough that they are not allowed to play together as a team for the next two years. The "Top Finishing Teams Rule" is as follows:

Top Finishing Teams shall be defined as those Teams placing:

  • 1st and 2nd in the Mens/Mixed Master Team Division (8-Ball)
  • 1st and 2nd in the  Womens Master Team Division (8-Ball)
  • 1st through 4th in the Mens/Mixed Open and Men'sB/Mixed Team Divisions (8-Ball) based on 100+ teams/event, 1st through 3rd if less than 100.
  • 1st and 2nd in the Womens Open Team Division (8-Ball)
  • 1st through 4th in the Mens/Mixed and Men'sB/Mixed Team Divisions (9-Ball) based on 100+ teams/event, 1st through 3rd if less than 100.
  • 1st and 2nd in the Womens Team Division (9-Ball)

      For the next two years:

  • These teams cannot play together in the division they placed in.
  • 8-Ball Open Teams can stay together but they must play in the next higher division (Men's/Mixed in the Men's/Mixed Master Division, Men'sB/Mixed in Men's/Mixed Open and Women's Open in the Women's Master).
  • Only two players on any of the 8 or 9-Ball RTP lists may form a team and play together while they are listed.

Open Mixed Scotch Doubles:

  • Winners of the Open Mixed Scotch Doubles may not play together as a team in the Open division for a period of two years.
  • If they wish to play together as a team, they must play in the Master Mixed Scotch Doubles division.
