2010 9-Ball Entry Form Page 2 -- Important information, please read carefully

Every player must pay the annual sanctioning fees ($15 to BCA Pool League and $10 to Western BCA).
New players must have played a minimum of 8 calendar weeks in a regularly scheduled WBCA sanctioned league session between June 1, 2010 and Sept. 7, 2010.
Returning players must have either:
          Played a minimum of 8 calendar weeks in a regularly scheduled WBCA sanctioned league session between June 1, 2010 and Sept. 7, 2010 or
          Played a minimum of 8 calendar weeks in any one league session in the previous year and be a league member in the current year by the entry deadline -
                      September 7, 2010.

Events, Entry Fees (Green Fees) and Races:

Master Scotch Doubles, $100 ($20), race to 6

Open Scotch Doubles, $70 ($15), race to 5

M/W Master Singles, $50 ($25), race to 8

M/W Novice Singles, $15 ($15), race to 5

Men’s Open-A Singles, $40 ($25), race to 7

M/W Senior Singles, $35 ($20), race to 6

Men’s Open-B Singles, $30 ($20), race to 6

Mens/Mixed Teams, $105 ($60), race to 14

Women’s Open Singles, $35 ($20), race to 6

Women Teams, $105 ($60), race to 14

There will be a $25 service charge for returned checks.
An entry will not be accepted if the proper fee(s) do not accompany it. Delays in balancing entries with fees may result in an entry being denied if resolution does not come before the entry deadline passes. Entries will be posted on the Western BCA website as soon as the entry deadlines pass and all entries have been verified. Check often and if you are not there and should be, contact the Tournament Registrar and your League Operator as soon as possible.
In the event that your entry has been sent in and you will not be able to attend, you may request a refund of your entry fee(s). Requests received up to 3 weeks prior to the start of the tournament will be granted without question. Within 3 weeks, however, you must provide, in writing, legitimate reason for a refund to the Tournament Registrar.

Team Formats: Three-person teams can have 1 Master or Grand Master player only. All players on a team must have qualified in the same league. Scotch Doubles: Open scotch players must have qualified in the same league, Masters may select partners from throughout the association. Only one grandmaster may be on a Master Scotch Doubles team. Matching shirts worn by Scotch Doubles and Teams participants are preferred, but not mandatory.

Dress Code: Clean and neat apparel is required at all times when in the tournament room and playing on the tables, this includes practicing. Clothing must cover torso, front and back, at all times and necklines must not be excessively revealing. The complete dress code is available on the Western BCA website, in the Players Program and will be posted in the tournament room. Failure to comply may result in penalties including loss of game(s).

  • Shirts/blouses/tops: Polo or button front shirts with sleeves and fold-over collar. T-shirts are not permitted.
  • Sweaters (not sweatshirts): turtlenecks, mock turtlenecks, jewel necks with sleeves.
  • Pants: Dress or casual slacks, jeans with no significant tears. Women may wear Capri-style pants ( at least two inches below the kneecap while standing upright) or culottes.
  • Dresses/skirts: Women may wear skirts of conservative length and non-revealing sleeved dresses of conservative length.
  • Footwear: All footwear must have a closed toe and be normal in the manner of its style and wear. Shoes with laces must have the laces properly tied.
  • Hats/headwear:  Any hat or headwear that is clean and neat is allowed with appropriate clothing.  Bandanas, scarves above the neck, headbands, and do-rags are not permitted.
  • Athletic wear of any kind, including but not limited to: shorts, sweats, swimwear, jogging suits, uniforms or jerseys are not allowed.
  • Should a player require a footwear/clothing exception for medical reasons, the player must provide the Western BCA podium, prior to the tournament, a letter on official letterhead from the player's health care provider so stating. The letter will then be available for review by a referee or the Tournament Director if requested.

  • Please be aware that the use of cell phones, headsets of any kind, and ear plugs are not allowed during match play. This incudes texting. Penalties apply. Flash photography in the tournament room is strictly forbidden.
